Express Car Rentals is a trade name of Makeena Solutions Limited Company (we, us, our), 1910 Pacific Avenue, Dallas, TX 75201. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Application: your name, phone number, email address, preferred pickup and return dates, and photos of the front and back of your driver's license.
- Onboarding (after approval): date of birth, emergency contact name and phone number, driver's license number, state, and expiration date, and insurance information.
- During a rental: rental records (vehicle, dates, payments, incidents, and communications) and payment confirmations. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Vehicle data: some vehicles may have GPS tracking or telematics devices, as disclosed in your rental agreement.
- Website data: basic information such as your browser type and the pages you visit.
How we use it
- To review applications and verify identity, driver's license, and insurance.
- To prepare and administer rental agreements, take payments, and provide customer support.
- To communicate with you about your application and rental by email and, where you have agreed, text message.
- To protect our vehicles and comply with legal requirements, including recovering a vehicle as described in your rental agreement.
How we share it
We share information only with service providers who help us operate (for example Stripe for payments, and our customer-management, email, text-messaging, and electronic-signature providers), and with insurers, recovery services, collection agencies, or authorities when needed to enforce our agreement or when required by law. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
Text messages
By submitting an application you agree to receive text messages from Express Car Rentals about your application, rental status, payments, and pickup or return. Promotional text messages are optional, are agreed to separately with their own checkbox, and are not required to rent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, and then delete or anonymize it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or opt out of non-essential messages, by contacting us below. We may need to keep some information as required by law or to protect our rights.
Children
Our services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
